Matty Smokes was founded in 2015 by Matt and his wife, Rebekah, with a passion for live-fire BBQ, bringing people together, and creating great food. From the beginning, it has always been a family-first operation.

What started around the smoker grew through years of catering, private events, pop-ups, and live-fire cooking, building Matty Smokes one event, one party, and one plate at a time.

In 2026, Matt made the decision to dedicate himself fully to Matty Smokes and take the business into its next chapter. He partnered with his father-in-law, Jeffrey, keeping family at the heart of the operation while expanding the brand through catering, private events, and Street Eats by Matty Smokes @ The Wreck in Island Park, New York.

The business has grown, but the idea behind it hasn’t changed: cook great food, take care of people, and build something our family is proud of.
